About the Presenter
Hiram Henriquez is the Creative Director and Lead Graphic Designer for H2H Graphics & Design Inc., where he specializes in 3D illustrations, informational graphics, animation, brand identity and Web design. Hiram’s career includes 14 years at The Miami Herald — where he won multiple individual news illustration, infographics and design awards, and earned two Pulitzer Prizes for Team Reporting — three years at the South Florida Sun Sentinel as a senior graphics reporter, and two years at National Geographic magazine as a graphics editor. Hiram also serves as a full-time Senior Lecturer at the University of Miami’s (FL) School of Communication teaching Visual Design and Informational Graphics. He received his M.F.A. in Graphic Design from Savannah College of Art & Design in 2014. Hiram lives in Rolesville, North Carolina, a small town near Raleigh. Having been born in Cuba and raised in Miami, Hiram is also fluent in Spanish.
