Mediation is good, but can only go so far. Most parents and districts perceive hearings as too costly, too lengthy, and unfair. Lyn will propose an alternative dispute resolution mechanism where the parties develop their own dispute resolution process, which includes addressing the parent-district relationship on an ongoing basis.
