Evaluation of Family Empowerment Centers.

This report synthesizes the quantitative and qualitative evaluation data related to Family Empowerment Centers (FEC) in California.  Data was obtained from surveys of parents and professionals, parent focus groups, and interviews with FEC center directors, center personnel, and other professionals who come in contact with the FECs. Findings are presented and discussed for each of the four major areas of focus provided by the California Department of Education (CDE) relating to each of the evaluation questions developed by CDE staff to guide the scope of the evaluation.   Recommendations relating to possible future directions for the Family Empowerment Centers are presented.
