Kathy Wian is the Coordinator of the Conflict Resolution Program (CRP) in the Institute for Public Administration with the College of Human Services, Education and Public Policy at the University of Delaware. She has worked at the University of Delaware since 1994. Ms. Wian is responsible for the administrative, financial and strategic leadership of CRP. She is also responsible for providing expert consultation and presenting programs in organization change and alternative dispute resolution throughout Delaware. In addition, she collaborates with University of Delaware faculty and staff members on various projects in the areas of education, non-profits, health care, school leadership, and state and local government. Ms. Wian has conducted over 500 hours of training for state and local governments, non-profit groups, education and disability related organizations on various alternative dispute resolution topics. She is a special education mediator and meeting facilitator for the state of Delaware. She has also conducted numerous trainings in the special education arena dealing with conflict resolution, leading effective meetings and mediation. Ms. Wian has conducted training programs and organization development in Pennsylvania, Vermont, Arizona, Missouri, Maryland and Hawaii. At the University of Delaware, she teaches an Introduction to Basic Conflict Resolution Skills course and a Collaborative Leadership course in the Master in Public Administration program and a Discipline and Classroom Management course for the Alternative Routes to Certification Program. She has a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Delaware and an undergraduate degree in Business Administration.
